When single-layer reinforcement is not enough, Rekky Technology’s Double Layer Braided Silicone Hose delivers the next level of pressure performance. Two independent layers of high-tensile textile braid — typically polyester, aramid, or a hybrid combination — are precisely applied between the inner tube and outer cover, creating a hose capable of withstanding pressures up to 20 bar (290 psi) while retaining the flexibility and cleanliness of all-silicone construction.

The dual-braid architecture distributes stress across two reinforcement layers, significantly improving fatigue resistance under pulsating pressure conditions common in dosing pumps, homogenizers, and high-pressure CIP systems. Despite the heavy reinforcement, the hose maintains a reasonable bend radius and can be routed through standard pharmaceutical skids and processing equipment.

Like all Rekky products, the inner tube is platinum-cured silicone available in FDA food-grade or USP Class VI pharmaceutical grade. The outer silicone layer provides chemical resistance and a smooth surface for wash-down. This hose is the preferred choice for high-pressure pharmaceutical transfer, aseptic filling, and demanding food processing applications where both pressure and purity are non-negotiable.
