Product Overview
Standard silicone rubber has excellent heat resistance and biocompatibility but limited resistance to hydrocarbons, oils, fuels, and aggressive solvents. Rekky Technology’s Fluorosilicone Lined Hose solves this limitation by combining a fluorosilicone (FVMQ) or fluorocarbon (FPM/FKM) inner lining with a platinum-cured silicone outer tube and reinforcement.
The fluorine-based inner layer provides exceptional resistance to petroleum products, aromatic solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and strong acids — chemicals that would rapidly swell or degrade standard silicone. The outer silicone layer maintains the flexibility, temperature resistance, and cleanability that make silicone the preferred material for hygienic applications. This hybrid construction is ideal for applications where both chemical resistance and food/pharma compliance are required.
Common applications include hydraulic fluid transfer in food equipment, fuel lines in clean environments, solvent handling in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and chemical sampling where standard silicone would fail. The inner fluorosilicone layer is fully bonded to the outer silicone, preventing delamination even under flexing and pressure cycling.
